When you get in touch with us you can discuss your ideas with our team. If you can, visit the Show Site. We are open seven days a week from 10.30 to 5. Phone first to make sure, if you are coming a long way! We have six buildings on display, with pools and including the Home Office. We will then provide you with a proposed scheme with estimated costing and CAD drawing showing floor plan and elevations, and if this is of interest to you, the next step is to arrange a site visit at a mutually convenient time. We will check for you whether planning permission is required. When we have agreed on a plan and price we ask for a £500 deposit. This to go towards the cost of architect's drawings, structural engineer's calculations and local authority fees. We also pay the Building Control fees, which are due during the early stages of the contract. We can generally commence on site within three to six weeks, if planning is not required. The complete works are overseen by an independent surveyor or engineer who will, on completion, provide a Building Control Certificate, which is your guarantee of good workmanship. The pool is built with a reinforced concrete floor tied into 9" block walls, cavity filled with concrete so forming a solid reinforced monoshell. We incorporate skimmer, main drain with hydrostatic valve, vacuum point, inlets, and as optional extras we can include underwater light and automatic water top-up. On completion of the baseworks the building is delivered to site. We first lay a standard DPC then the tongue and grooved log walls are set over a tanalised drip cill. The roof is supported by laminated arch beams, laminated purlins, externally covered with felt and then a bitumen shingle tile. All rainwater goods and a standard soakaway are included. Erection on site is comparatively speedy, though internal finishing detail will necessarily take rather longer. We spray the inside of the pool with a clear Sadolin varnish. The external walls are given two coats of Sadolin in a colour of your choice. The pool is completed with liner or mosaic and the heating and filtration plant is then installed. Carpet or other floor covering is laid. Internal lighting
and sockets are fitted. All necessary services are laid and connected. Then water is added. Finally the pool is commissioned and you are given simple management instructions, including details of the boiler, pump, etc. together with a starter chemical pack and pool management video. Then we leave the enjoyment to you. Swim and entertain all the year round whilst keeping fit and healthy. |
